Hebrides Cattery has been registered with CFA since November 1989. We are located in East Texas about two hours from Dallas/ Ft. Worth. Hebrides is a small cattery and we plan to stay that way.
CH Changa's Astra of Hebrides was the foundation female. She lived to be 14 years old and spent her years as my beloved companion. Her line produced several Grand Premiers (altered cats) the class I chose to show in CFA. GP Hebrides Spirit-of-Scotland, a longhair red classic and white male, was Hebrides’ first Regional Winner.
Our kittens are raised with a Bassett and we can’t decide if the dog thinks he is a kitten or the kittens think they are puppies. Some kittens and cats are shyer than others but all love and adore their owner. Most like to held and petted and some simply like to sit next to you.
Several of our kittens have been recognized at the annual CFA International Show as well as breed club awards and Regional wins. The background of my lines includes many National Winners.
I have been a CFA Scottish Fold Breed Council member for sixteen years and served as Breed Council Secretary for three years. I have also been a member of International Scottish Fold Association (ISFA) for many years and currently serve as Secretary. Also I have been very active in show productions; serving in almost every capacity.
Also, I am a member of ISFA (International Scottish Fold Association) and am currently serving as Secretary. I am currently a member of one club in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I am also the Treasurer of the Scottish Fold Rescue, Inc. organization dedicated to Fold rescue. Over the years, I have been very active in show production. I mention this because I hope it will help identify Hebrides as a viable cattery adhering to the principles and ethics of CFA.
I recently joined TICA, another large Cat Fancy Registry. Recently I have not been able to attend shows but hope to start again in the near future......
